I will be working with Nilima Abrams, who is a documentary filmmaker in the art department at Stanford University.
I am going to work with one or all of her three short films, and am currently discussing goals. The basic idea is to elicit a target behavior using her documentary films.
Idea1: to show Lotus on karmatube (http://www.karmatube.org) and have people click on links to read more about meditation.
Idea2: to show Pie from Scratch, also on karmatube, and have people find out more about the Pie Ranch in Pescadero, CA, by going to their website.
Other goals being considered are: to publicize a meditation center, through the film, Lotus; link a film with a longer, feature-length film for show in a festival; sell the film, Pigs in a Blanket, to a media network. The goal of the project is to distribute Nilima's films and influence viewers. The actual target behavior is still under discussion. (Wednesday, May 20th, 2009)
